Parameter loading procedure for 04PLA

SUMMARY

The following procedure applies to the Fanuc 04PLA Control. It provides step by step instructions for changing parameters. For instructions on loading parameters please go to Loading Parameters .

Note 1: If you do not have parameter tapes or disks, you can download them from our Parameter site.

Note 2: In the following explanation bold italic text means it is a push button on the control panel and underlined bold italic text means it is a key switch or toggle switch.

 

Procedure

1.
 How to go to parameter page
 
•
Press mmc/cnc key to select cnc
 
•
Press alarm key while holding the function key
 
•
Press parameter soft key
2.
 How to change parameter
 
•
 Disable the Parameter Protect switch
   
•
 Press set key while holding the function key
   
•
 Press page down key to select parameter enable/disable page
   
•
 Press MDI on the mode switch
   
•
 Press P , 1 then input button
 
•
This takes you to the alarm page
 
•
 Press parameter soft key under the CRT screen
 
•
Go to the parameter you want by pressing the letter 'N' then the number followed by the input button
 
•
 The cursor should now be located at the desired position
 
•
 At this point press the letter 'P' followed by the 'value' you want to enter followed by the input key
 
•
 Confirm the data has changed to what you want
 
•
 Enable the Parameter protect switch
   
•
 Press set key with function key
   
•
 Press page down key to select parameter enable/disable page
   
•
 Press MDI on the mode switch
   
•
 Press P, 0 then input button
 
•
Turn NC power OFF
 
•
Turn power ON and test the results

Example: to adjust parameter 84. This is for the turret. This parameter corrects how smoothly the index pins enter the turret at origin only. Each number equals approx. .0009". You will have to experiment for the amount and the proper direction.
