Pulsar Retractable Clamp Adjustments

Catalog

The following procedure applies to all Pulsar Laser Machines equipped with the retractable work clamp system.

 
Pulsar LC1212A / LC2415A

Adjustment of Retractable Clamp
Bolt /Dowel Pin strike type Link adjustment & clamp
     
1.
Dismount the shock absorber, push the clamp base against the stop block, and fasten it with a vise so that there is no space between the stop and the stop block.
2.
Set the link angle to 175 degree - 177 degree, by adjusting the cylinder joint.(A)
3.
Remove vise and test angle by applying air to the cylinder,(5 kgf/cm2 ).
4.
In the above adjustment, if there is still space between the stop and stop block and the above angle are not within the tolerance limits, loose the bolt after pulling out the pin of the cover.(B)
5.
After making sure that the cylinder rod extends all the way to the end.(C) Repeat step (1), set the link angle to about 175 degree respectively and then fasten the cover.
    (Make sure that the cylinder and the link have been securely fastened.)
6.
Loosen the nut with which the knuckle joint is being fastened, and let the cylinder rod rotate one time, and test the link angle.
7.
If it is not still within the tolerance limit, turn back the cylinder rod to the original length and loosen the fix bolt of the cover, and repeat 5. and readjust them by moving them clockwise until they reach the tolerance limit.

Link adjustment & clamp

1.
Dismount the shock absorber, push the clamp base against the stop block, (fasten it with a vise so that there is no space between the stop and the stop block, and pull the cylinder and the fix bracket in direction and attach them.)
2.
After making sure that the cylinder rod extends all the way to the end, and the link angle to about 175 degree respectively then fasten the adjustment block. (Make sure that cylinder and the link have been securely fastened.)
3.
Loosen the nut with which the knuckle joint is being fastened, and let the cylinder rod rotate one time, and set the link angle to 175 degree - 177 degree.
4.
Unfasten the vise, and make sure that the discrepancy amount and the restored amount of clamp base are with the following tolerance limit.
5.
If it is not within the tolerance limit, loosen the fix bolt of the cover and push the adjustment block by the adjustment bolt and repeat 3) - 4) until it reaches the tolerance limit.

Shock Absorber Adjustment

(Adjust after link adjustment)
1.
Fill the cylinder with air (5 kgf/cm2 ), push the clamp base against the stop block, (fasten it with a vise so that there is no space between the stop and the stop block.)
2.
Screw in the shock absorber by hand until the rod is shortened all the way.
