PULSAR POSITIONING ACCURACY ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
Find a 40" x 40" sheet of 0.060" Cold Roll. Using the M102(Material Spec), Cut Condition, and E Code, for 0.060" Cold Roll, modify the SHEAR OFF Program to Cut Off about an Inch of Material across the Y axis. This will give a Straight Edge to Locate from along the Y axis. If the Capacitive Sensor Head is being used, make sure the Position of the Head has Material under at least HALF the Nozzle. Run the SHEAR OFF Program.
In MANUAL Mode, move the X axis in the Negative Direction approximately an Inch. Unclamp the Material, Rotate it around so the Laser Cut Edge is against the Y Locator Pins. Set the Material against the X and Y Locator Pins and Clamp. Reference the X axis. This will make the Sheet hang over the X "zero".
Modify the SHEAR OFF Program to Cut in the X axis, at a X value of Negative 1/2 the Kerf width. The Kerf is the width of the Laser Cut. This will leave an Edge that falls right on X "zero". Run the Program.
When the Axes Return Home, raise the X Locator Pins and determine if there is an Error in the X. Reclamp and call up the HOLE-N-SQUARE Program. Modify for the M102(Material Spec), Cut Condition and set the G93 X and Yto 1.5 and the G111 I to 1 for a Square size of 1". Insert a "/ " in front of the G112 and press the BLOCK DELETE Button.
Run the Program. Using Calipers, measure the Diameter of the Square Cut-out and then from the Edge of the Sheet to the Edge of the Square, in both Axes. Determine the Error.
To set the Y axis Accuracy, Parameter 1850 must be changed.
Press the OFFSET button on the Key Pad. This should bring up theSETTING Screen. If not, press the SETTING Soft Key. In MDI Mode move the cursor with the Arrow Buttons to PARAMETER WRITE. Key in 1 and Press the INPUT Button. The alarm 100 PARAMETER WRITE ENABLEshould come on. Press CAN and RESET Buttons simultaneously to cancel the Alarm.
Go to MDI mode. Key in 1850 and Press the NO.SRH Soft Key, this will bring up 1850 GRID SHIFT for X, Y and Z . Cursor down to Y. Change the Parameter by adding a Negative Error in Microns or subtracting the Positive Error in Microns to the Original Value. Key in the Value of the Error (+/-) and Press the +INPUT Soft Key. An 000 Alarm will come up, which means that the Control must be Powered OFF. The Laser must be Turned OFF and allowed to Purge, then turn the Control OFF. After Powering back up Cut another Square, after adding an inch to the G93 X . Determine if the Square moved the correct Direction and Amount. Each time PRM 1850 is changed the System must be Powered Down, and then Back Up. When the Position is in Specification, set Parameter write to 0.
To set the X axis Accuracy, the X Gauge Block must be moved. On the underside of the Table, loosen the four Locking Bolts that hold the X Gauge Block. Move the X Gauge Block assembly in the direction needed. Tighten the Locking Bolts, noting if the X Gauge Block moves. In the Program, set the G93 X and Y to 1.5 and 2.5. Load the Sheet Cut another Square to verify that the Accuracy is set

LCE655 & LCE645 POSITIONING ACCURACY ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURE
Find a sheet of 0.060" Cold Rolled Steel that fits your machine table size and clamp the material into the work clamps. Cut a 1.0" square 4.5" in "X" and "Y". Position the work clamp away from the cutting area to avoid a dead zone alarm.
Using Calipers, measure the Square Cut-out and then from the Edge of the Sheet to the Edge of the Square, in both Axes. Determine the Error.
To set the Y axis Accuracy, Parameter 83 must be changed.
Before the Parameter can be changed you have to change the Parameter Enable bit to "1". Select MDI mode, push the DGNOS/PARAM button and press the page down button if the Parameter Enable is not displayed on the CRT. Move the cursor to the Parameter Enable. Key in "1" then press the input. The NC will be in an alarm state. This is normal when the Parameter Enable is changed to "1".
Press the PARAM button to select the parameter screen. Press the letter "N" and 83, then press the INPUT button. This will advance the cursor to parameter 83. Press "P" and input the new data for parameter 83. The NC will generate alarm #000. You will now have to reboot the NC and Laser.
After Powering back up Cut another Square. Determine if the Square moved the correct Direction and Amount. Each time PRM 83 is changed the System must be Powered Down, and then Back Up. When the Position is in Specification, set Parameter Enable to 0.
Load the Sheet, and cut another square to verify that the Accuracy is set.
