 |
1.
|
Laser Gas Pressure |
Daily |
Check that the primary regulator pressure is greater than 10 kgf/cm2. If not, replace the gas cylinder. |
2.
|
Vacuum Pump Oil |
Weekly |
Confirm that the oil level is between the min and max levels with the machine in standby mode. If the oil level falls bellow the min level, replace the oil. Note that the oil must be replace every 6 months or 1500 hours of operation. |
3.
|
Vacuum Pump Oil Leak |
Weekly |
Check that no oil has leaked on the frame of the vacuum pump, especially around the drain cock. If a leak is apparent, replace the exhaust filter as it is likely to be clogged. Note that the filter must be replaced every year or 3000 hours of operation. |
4.
|
Turbine Blower Oil |
Weekly |
Confirm that the oil level is between the min and max levels with the machine in standby mode. If the oil level falls bellow the min level, replace the oil. Note that the oil must be replace every 4 months or 1,000 hours of operation |
5.
|
Turbine Oil Leak |
Weekly |
Check that no oil has leaked on the frame of the vacuum pump, especially around the drain cock. If a leak is apparent, locate the source. Call service if the leak is coming from anywhere other than an open drain cock. |
6.
|
Laser Output Power |
Weekly |
If the power level inside the laser resonator falls bellow acceptable levels, a warning message number 4085[685] is displayed. Clean resonator optics or replace them as necessary. |
7.
|
Chiller Water |
Weekly |
Check the water quality. If the color changes considerably, drain and refill the chiller with clean distilled water and additive. Note that the water and the additive must be replace every 1 year of operation. If water additive is not used, the distilled water must be replace every 2 months. |

PERIODIC LASER MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE
The table below lists the periodic maintenance of the laser resonator components. The operational hours are indicated on the hour meter on the resonator. When two periods are given (ie: 6 months or 1500 hours) use the lower value.
